Immolation 神祭乐队
来自纽约地下死金乐界的Immolation前身是由Robert Vigna与Tomas Wilkinson成军於1986年的Rigor Mortis，而后主唱兼贝斯手Ross Dolan及鼓手Neal Bobock加入使阵容更完整，经由一捲Demo带使他们的名声渐渐普及，终於引起了Roadrunner Records的注意并在1990年发行了首张专辑〝Dawn Of Possession〞， 在这之前鼓手替换为Craig Smilowski。完成美国与欧洲的巡迴演出后Immolation与唱片公司解约，并立刻在各处地下表演场所演出来磨练本身的技巧，后来与Metal Blade Records签约发行展现不受支配的压倒性粗暴作品〝Here In After〞之后鼓手由曾在Fallen Christ待过的Alex Hernandez担任。 他们在法国巴黎、秘鲁利马等地的粗暴演出又吸引了一群狂热崇拜的跟随者，经由这些乐迷的支持信件和无数场扩大势力范围的现场演出，Immolation已跃身至地下死黑界的顶端，在1999年终於发行成军13年以来的第3张专辑〝Failures For Gods〞。 Immolation过去所受到的高度期待超过许多的团，也因此团员们对专辑的品质非常挑剔，发行时间一延再延，〝Failures For Gods〞不只是描述死亡黑暗的场景，而更要夺走还未听惯死金的人纯真的灵魂，从他们独特的歌曲结构，到他们喧哗又饶富诗趣的词，专辑从一开始到结束Immolation将带给你一趟难忘的旅程，意料不到的旋涡与转折，古怪的拍子冷硬的导入令人难忘的幽暗曲调，负生命力的Vocals构成Immolation这么多年来建立的风格。这次萦绕於心的力量更甚以往，比地狱更地狱，是Immolation最强大、最黑暗、最邪恶的作品。数不尽的团来来去去，Immolation仍坚守他们的立场等待适当的时机劈开一条血路，〝Failures For Gods〞就是他们挥舞的战斧。
