Mgła (pronounced "mgwah") means "Fog" in Polish.

Initially founded as a studio project by singer and multi-instrumentalist M.. After the release of With Hearts Toward None in 2012, Mgła started to play live shows employing guest musicians apart from the official drummer Darkside; M. sings and plays rhythm guitar.

Two unreleased demos exist:

- Northwards (2000; 1. Mountainspectre (7:26) 2. Wight (06:55) 03. Darkened Skies (02:00).

- Necrotic (2001; 1. Necrotic (07:50) 2. Shiny Summer's Warmth (05:59).
