The band wears monster costumes - during promotional video shoots, they have had to wear their masks for up to 8 hours.
Mr. Lordi was born and grew up in Rovaniemi, north of Finland. However, he founded the band when he was studying in Tornio. The band was originally a side project of Mr. Lordi. The band recorded an album in 1999 called "Bend Over and Pray the Lord".
